We had the privilege of undertaking a comprehensive restoration and refurbishment project at Newman House for University College Dublin. One of the notable aspects of this project was the restoration of the façade’s stonework, a task accomplished under the “Getty Programme”.
The stonework was carefully repaired and restored, collaborating with specialist craftsmen.
Internally, our focus was on reinstating various elements of the original architecture. Particular attention was paid to restore the plasterwork, joinery, stonework, and chimneypieces. A real delight was being able to completely restore the internal staircase and overlooking arched windows, bringing light down through the centre of the building.
Our efforts and attention to detail were recognized, as the project was honoured with the RIAI Regional Award, a testament to our commitment to excellence in restoration and refurbishment.
